Boodget — Privacy Policy

Boodget ("the App") is developed by Jianwei Huang. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your data.

1. Local-First Design

Boodget is designed to keep your data on your device. All expenses, categories, and settings are stored locally using Apple's on-device storage. No data is transmitted to any external server, cloud service, or third party.

2. Financial Data (FinanceKit)

With your explicit permission, Boodget may access transaction data from Apple Wallet using Apple's FinanceKit framework. This access is:

• On-device only — transaction data is read and processed entirely on your device.
• Never transmitted — no financial data is sent to us, any server, or any third party.
• User-controlled — you can grant or revoke access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Finance.

Boodget uses this data solely to display your transactions within the app for personal budgeting purposes.

3. Data We Collect

None. Boodget does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data off your device. We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking of any kind.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. There is no data to share — everything stays on your device.

5. Data Retention

Your data exists only on your device (and in your personal iCloud backups, if enabled). Deleting the App removes all associated data from your device.

6. Children's Privacy

Boodget does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date.
